Soccer Unity Project 1 of 100 Organizations Worldwide to Receive lululemon Grant Funding

Soccer Unity Project, a nonprofit organization providing free soccer programming in Boston, recently received funding through lululemon’s Community Wellbeing Grant. Grant funding will ensure that coaches are equipped with the skills to support not only the technical skill development of young players, but more importantly, their social-emotional development.

The grant was provided through lululemon’s Centre for Social Impact, which seeks to break down the barriers that prevent access to wellbeing. Soccer Unity Project was selected from over 3,000 grant applicants worldwide to receive funding in the 2025 grant cycle.

Funding from the lululemon Community Wellbeing Grant will be used to support the hiring, training, and advancement of Soccer Unity Project coaches. Coaches will complete a series of sessions that will teach them how to build safe, welcoming spaces on the field for young athletes to thrive, furthering the organization’s progress towards inclusive play.
